H By Hudson Inca Leather Espadrilles

These have been around long enough for a few years but every time they are re-stocked I have this sheepish smile on my face. Passed out on buying it last year, but I’d finally come around and spend that $$$$$. Retails for $85.47.

Sartorial Education from Jeffery Ammeen, Creative Director , Haspel.

Jeffrey Ammeen, creative director for Haspel – the 100-year old company famous for inventing the seersucker suit and now in the process of re-launching itself – incorporates seersucker into his wardrobe without looking like he is in a barbershop quartet. “I have an eclectic personality and I think that shows in how I dress,” says Jeffrey. “Rather than wearing a completely uniform look – in this case, seersucker, I prefer to wear it in a more non-traditional way by pairing a seersucker blazer with rolled up jeans or a casual v-neck tee.”

Jeffrey is a former professional musician and among his favorite accessories are his leather and silver bracelets – he wears several on each wrist. “Those bracelets coupled with anything seersucker is how I make seersucker my own.” In many ways, it speaks to who he is as both design director for the company that is legendary for making preppy looks de rigueur at Ivy League campuses and as someone with a rock star edge.

Gieves & Hawkes SS2010 Tailoring

Master tailors Gieves & Hawkes are sticking to a more traditional palette with navy, grey and black in patterns that range from striped to plaid for their spring summer 2010 menswear tailoring collection. Slightly boxy silhouette but if you look closely they seem to be cinched in a bit at the waist in a Tom Ford-ish signature way that I’m feeling.

Shia Lebeouf Nattily Clad in The New GQ

Shia Lebeouf is so fucking gorgeous photographs well and would be any photographers delight but I’m more intrigued by the excellent styling of the editorial. It shows how to wear a striped suit, neutral toned suit and the beauty of wearing traditional dress shoes with suits. The feel is very Italian, which leans towards a more universal vibe as opposed to the eccentric innovative cool Britannia one I’m very fond of.
